Devil’s Cave, Cap de Creus
This sea cave owes its name to the amazing image that reminds one of a “door to hell” due to the reddish color of the water inside with the first rays of sunrise.
The best thing about this cave is that you can visit it both on foot and by kayak, so if the temperature allows it, you may even be able to take a swim.
Peralada Castle Historical Park, Girona
This place, which received the award for best Public Flowered Space within the Viles Florides 2015 project, has caught our attention from the very first moment.
It was designed by François Duvillers in the 19th century, as the Counts of Peralada decided to transform this medieval military castle into a château following the French fashion of the time.
If you are looking for an original photo that makes you look like you have traveled to another era, this is the place for you.
Gardens of Cap Roig, Calella de Palafrugell
In these colorful gardens we can find a mix of history, art, botany and landscapes. In addition, near these gardens we find an emblematic stone castle.
It is important to underline that you have in mind the dates in which you decide to visit this botanical paradise because it is also the stage of the Cap Roig Festival, which represents one of the festivals with more annual musical repercussion of the Costa Brava.
Ronda Road, Blanes-Portbou
These roads go from Blanes to Portbou, so you can come across amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea, archaeological ruins, lighthouses, hidden coves, defense towers and vertiginous cliffs.
Getting lost in one of the sections of this path and see what you find is highly recommended. Of course, wear comfortable clothes and bring some water and food, as there are trails where you will not pass through any town where you can stop to shop.
Cala Cap de Creus , Cadaqués
Cadaqués is a tourist destination that many consider one of the most beautiful villages in Catalonia.
In fact, the landscape that makes up this cove has been recorded on more than one occasion in the world of cinema.
The Cala de Cap de Creus is located at the northern end of the Costa Brava at the end of a small peninsula that enters the Mediterranean and separates the Gulf of Roses. It is therefore the most easterly point within the Iberian peninsula.
Peratallada, Baix Empordà
For fans of movies and / or series set in medieval places, we leave you one last location located in Peratallada. It is a beautiful medieval village located in the Baix Empordà (Costa Brava).
As a curiosity, you might like to know that archaeologists have been able to prove that the origins of this location come from at least Roman times.
This village is very small and has only 200 inhabitants, which is appreciated if you like to walk without the chaotic noise of the cities.
It doesn’t matter if you are more of an Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest fan; thanks to these locations you will have a more than interesting feed. And who knows; maybe even one of those followers we don’t even talk to will drop a like or two.
