I couldn’t have said it better myself, because the beginning of the year has come to GHT Hotels with several changes, both in human team and hotel accommodation.
Probably known and loved by many of you, as he is with us from the textile factory that later became the Pensió Mercedes Visa accomodation and, since the 60’s, Hotel Balmes in Calella. Afterwards, he was Hotel Balmes’ Manager for many years, and finished his working life being GHT Hotels Sales Director and one of its most important pillars. We’re talking about Mr. Josep G. We would like, here, to give thanks for a lifetime of dedication and friendship, and wish him the best in his retirement.
As GHT needs a new Sales Manager, we stir heaven and earth until we found the perfect candidate to replace Josep. A young person but with lots of experience was necessary because this is one of the most important position in this bussiness. Thus, we believe that the ideal person is Jordi S., which you can see in the next picture with Mr. Josep G. Welcome aboard, Jordi!
Two other people have left the GHT human team, this year, for retirement. We are talking about Conso N., right hand of Mr. Josep G. during his time as director of Hotel Balmes and a pillar of GHT Hotels subsequently; and Cristòbal Villegas, who left his position as CEO of GHT Hotels.
The latest addition is a huge one, and no, we have not signed on Ferran Adrià as chef (but you’d love it, don’t you!). We are talking about the Tossa Park Aparthotel, which we have incorporated into our hotel supply, increasing the supply of apartments in the village of Tossa de Mar. Tossa Park is a spacious resort situated in a pleasant residential area of Tossa, near the center of the villa and the beach. The building consists of 5 floors and comprises 30 apartments 2/4 and 49 studies 2/3, all facing the pool, which guarantees sun until dusk. The apartments are fully equipped with flat TV, WiFi, air conditioning and a large balcony with views.
